24 hour clocks would be so much smarter

so, we all know a day (as in the earth turning around itself one time) takes 24 hours. but a clock face only has 12. I'm wondering why it does. even in countries where there's being used 24-hour time ("military time") — at least formally or when wanting to be exact, when just talking to someone rather informally we still often use the 12-hour time though — the clock still only has 12 hours depicted and you have to know whether it's morning or evening. that's so stupid.

may I present to you: a 24 hour clock — designed by me.

you read it like a normal clock: the thick lines are the hours, the short lines are minutes and seconds (marked red in the second picture). (The only difficulty is that the minute-/second-lines aren't on the long hour lines, but its not super hard: the first line after 24 is the first minute/second.

here, the time is 18:11:52. 18 hours, 11 [almost 12] minutes and 52 seconds. so 6:11pm, almost 6:12.

it would be so smart because you don't have to wonder about it being morning or evening and you don't have to say am or pm every time. And it's not even that much harder to learn. Why didn't we invent those instead of the 12 hours ones? And I can't be the first person to think that, can I?

My thoughts here mainly revolve around YSA as the mary sue/female lead type character:

She goes from being this perfect woman to. just being a woman. And my idea is that the weight gain isn't there to make her "unconventionally attractive," or whatever other dumb phrase you wanna use to avoid calling someone ugly, but to make her conventionally attractive, yet realistic.

Instead of looking like a skinny waifu character, she looks like a skinny human woman. Her hair swaying in the nonexistent wind isn't as perfect, her magic blush is missing and she has eyebags. She's still hot, just more human.
